Elsie's Place is located in the Hamlet of Wallkill at the intersection of Route 208 & Route 300.
Elsie the cow was the representative of Borden milk products. The Borden family had created the infrastructure for the town of Wallkill. Elsie's Place the name, seemed fitting to the location of the restaurant and the town's heritage.
Elsie's Place is a local gathering for people who like home-cooked meals. We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients and serving home-cooked meals that are cooked to order, staying away from frozen food. The menu is an eclectic American menu from crab cakes to homemade pulled pork. We serve homemade 8 oz hamburgers that are made fresh with hand cut French fries along with fresh seafood steaks and pasta. The owner, Mirna Abada, brings to the table her Middle Eastern background combining her Israeli background and her restaurant experience in American and Italian cuisines.
"I thought that good, home-cooked meals were hard to find so I opened a restaurant that serves good food in a casual dining atmosphere." Mirna Abada.
